South West Middle School 8th graders visited the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit today. This traveling memorial, which has been making its way across the country and will be in Quincy through Saturday, offers a unique and powerful perspective on the events of September 11, 2001, through interactive displays, artifacts from the towers, and firsthand accounts of the day and its aftermath from FDNY firefighters who guide visitors through the exhibits.
We thank Tunnels to Towers and the City of Quincy for bringing this exceptional memorial to our city. Today’s visit allowed our students to connect with a significant chapter in American history and to contemplate the devastating losses sustained by our nation, the city of New York, and the FDNY. We will never forget.
